Abstract Having as a starting point the debate about knowing one's family origins as a human right, this article discusses the relationship between family identity and belonging based on an ethnographic research in adoption support groups, talks and interviews with their members and coordinators. From the story of an adopted daughter that we met in group meetings, we also deepened the discussion on how, in a single personal path, identity and relationship matters intertwine as much as broader conceptions about family, kinship, race, gender, class and belonging. Agreeing with Strathern (1999) that revealing new information about kinship can be surrounded by caution and tension, since it brings along impacts to one's personal identity and relationships, we reflect about some conflicts between the adoption practice and the right to origin.

Abstract Although the articulation between body, health, and the political-economic context is extremely complex and mediated by heterogeneous processes, it is possible to problematize the discourse on body and health produced by mass media. The purpose of this study was to present some reflections on contemporary discourses and practices about health, focusing on body aspects and the relationship between body aesthetics and the individual's well-being. The argumentative line to be developed advocates that, in the discursive network disseminated by the great media, the concept of health is intimately tied to the consumer market. In this essay, some media discourses on health are analyzed, in order to understand aspects of the symbolic market that is organized based on health signs. The construction of the "healthy body" is thematized and problematized through the chosen theoretical route. In the new Apollonian ideal emerging in contemporaneity, the body is a moldable object, to be cultivated by Spartan diets and eating habits, educated in exhaustive sessions of physical exercises, modeled by anabolic substances, corrected by plastic surgery with aesthetic purpose, and regulated by sociocultural standards that aim to achieve the immortality masked in the myth of eternal youth. To improve health care, professionals must understand the transformations that affect the image of the body valued in the contemporary era.

Título: La formación actual de especialistas en psiquiatría: un desafío epistemológico / [Present training for specialists in psychiatry: an epistemological challenge].
Fonte: Vertex rev. argent. psiquiatr;24(109):206-14, 2013 May-Jun.
Idioma: es.
Resumo: Teaching theoretical-technical knowledge aimed at training specialists in psychiatry at postgraduate level requires the explicitness of the theoretical model to which the curricula presented to students should be ordered. First, said model should be coherent with the general curricula for the medical training from which candidates to obtain the specialist degree graduate; second, it should serve to transmit theoretical elements, attitudes and skills that allow their work of excellence, which means acquiring the qualities considered relevant and necessary by the consensus among the members of a specialty, discipline or science (in our case, medical specialty in psychiatry) in the present historical moment. Reference points to meet them in the light of the present data concerning medical and psychiatric paradigms are developed. This article refers to those particular aspects with special emphasis on certain epistemological issues, from whose effects the same specialists do not escape, and which also condition their teaching practice, trying to show that an integrative pedagogical model is the one that best fits the contemporary historical conditions.

Resumo: The main focus of this paper is to analyze the role of the word pronounced by members of the health staff as it is constitutive of identity in the patient recepting the word. How is identity constructed? How does the word spoken by a significant Other impinge on this process? In particular, what about the influence of words denoting medical diagnoses? Regarding such queries we also look, on a preliminary basis, at each of the two main currents in Western medicine (biomedicine and medical anthropology), to find out if and how it addresses the relation between the word as an element of identity and the same word as a therapeutic tool.

Título: El concepto de identidad en relación con la maternidad en el discurso de adolescentes que cursan un embarazo desde una perspectiva ling³ística y psicoanalítica / [The concept of identity in relation to motherhood in the discourse of teenagers who attend a pregnancy from a linguistic and psychoanalytical perspective].
Fonte: Vertex rev. argent. psiquiatr;24(108):119-26, 2013 Mar-Apr.
Idioma: es.
Resumo: My aim in this paper is to briefly discuss the notion of identity and how can unify the Psychoanalytical concept with the discursive, in order to carry out multidisciplinary research on this topic. This work is based on life stories collected in the Hospital Larcade, from 2008 to 2011, from teenagers who attend a pregnancy. Through the linguistic analysis of the guarantees, following the model of Toulmin (17), as it has been redefined by Pardo (14) and Molina (12), I intend to give an account of the discursive and psychological bases of what will then form an identity for these young women on maternity. They live in extreme poverty in the Buenos Aires suburbs and are combined with a large dose of family violence that links their identities as mothers to the image (or identities of the other) who have over their own mothers, parents, couples in these contexts of violence. These data are also confronted with domestic violence cases that appear in the media and how they are dealt with discursively at these. Thus realizes the contradictions imposed the cultural identity of a group (the viewers or readers of means, which are a large part of society) against the experience of violence of these mothers. This research has as theoretical framework the Critical Discourse Analysis and the methodology is qualitative.

Título: Identidad y narración: devenires autobiográficos / [Identity and narration: autobiographical quests].
Fonte: Vertex rev. argent. psiquiatr;24(108):127-31, 2013 Mar-Apr.
Idioma: es.
Resumo: This paper aims to tackle the subtle relation between autobiographical narratives and identity construction, from a non essentialist conception of identity. In a perspective that articulates philosophy of language, psychoanalysis, semiotics and literary critique, we posit the concept of biographical space as an analytical instrument to make a critical update of the reconfiguration of identities and subjectivities in contemporary culture, marked by the predominance of the biographical, the private and a kind of "public intimacy". This look is more symptomatic than descriptive: it intends to account for the rise of auto/biographical narratives and life-stories, from canonic genres to their multiple derivations in the media, social networks and the most diverse artistic practices, a phenomenon that seems to reaffirm the notion of narrative identities by Ricoeur. Our analysis here, from an ethic, aesthetic and political point of view, will focus on two visual arts experiences that have recently taken place for the first time in Buenos Aires: Christian Boltanski's and Tracey Emin's, solo exhibitions, each of them with a different biographical approach.

Título: El papel de la familia en la identidad adolescente / [The role of family in adolescent identity].
Fonte: Vertex rev. argent. psiquiatr;24(108):139-47, 2013 Mar-Apr.
Idioma: es.
Resumo: The author stands that the assumption of identity in adolescence questions the identity supports acquired in the family which subjective the adolescent and goes on saying that to affirm her/his identity she/he has to "des-identify" from those identifications that turned her/him into the subject she/he is. The identification process -when instituting her/him as a subject- freezes her/his psyche in a "for ever". On the opposite, the "des-identification" process, necessary for the constitution of the adolescent's identity, releases the Id from the "for ever", it also releases from the life history that alienates her/him and becomes the condition that enables the Id not to go on with the "for ever" and to build a future. This "des-identification" is motorized by the adolescent's need of not going on to be "through her/his parents" and to become herself/himself. To state the role of the family in the identifying process of an adolescent the author refers to: 1-Family and Psychoanalysis. 2-The contributions on "Family and Schizophrenia". 3-The description of different types of families according to the possibility to tolerate the processes of acquiring "otherness", necessary to institute adolescent identity.
